A short glossary of the words used in the StellarFirm docs: CEO, assistant, persona, goal, brief, skill, session, workspace, approval, and more.

A short glossary. Terms are in the order you will meet them.
CEO#
You. You own the company, set the goals, and make the decisions. Everything an assistant does is on your behalf, and anything risky waits for your Approve.
CEO assistant#
The assistant that works for you. It reads your message, writes a brief, picks the right assistant, plans work that needs several, and reports back. It plans and briefs; the other assistants do the work. See How the CEO works.
Assistant#
An AI teammate in your company with a job. The Coder is the assistant available today.
Persona#
The job an assistant does, such as Coder, Product owner, Marketing, Accountant, or Legal. Only the Coder is available now. The others are Coming soon.
Goal#
What you want, written in chat in your own words. A good goal names the result, the place, and what done looks like. See the prompt guide.
Brief#
A short, self-contained set of instructions the CEO assistant writes for another assistant: the goal, the limits, how to know it is done, and what waits for Approve. Your company brief is different: it is the note every assistant reads before it works, covering what you do, who you serve, how you sound, and your rules.
Skill#
A saved way of doing a task that an assistant can load when it fits, such as how to brief the Coder or how to plan work across assistants. Skills are built in. You do not have to manage them.
Session#
A chat where you talk to your company. A session can include one assistant or several, and keeps a shared history so everyone sees the same conversation.
Workspace#
An assistant's private computer, where it keeps files and runs commands. Each workspace is kept apart from the others. Your assistants' files persist between visits, and an idle workspace sleeps and wakes when needed. See privacy and security.
Job#
One piece of work an assistant does for a goal. Jobs shows its progress and, for the Coder, its changes.
Approval#
A request for your Approve before a risky step, such as opening a pull request. You answer Approve or Reject on Approvals. See approvals.
Auto-approve#
A switch in Settings that lets assistants do one kind of step without asking and tell you afterwards. Everything is off until you turn it on, and only the CEO can.
House rules#
The rules for your company: the rules in your company brief plus what you allow without asking. They decide what happens after the work, such as opening a pull request for review or shipping when you allow it. See house rules.
Integration#
A connection to another service so an assistant can use it. GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket are available today. See integrations.
Credits#
What assistants spend when they work. New accounts start with free credits. See how credits work and usage.
Coming soon#
A feature or assistant that is planned but not open yet. Pages and callouts mark it so you always know what you can use today.
