# PagerDuty

> Let the Coder see your open PagerDuty incidents and who is on call. Read only, through PagerDuty's own hosted connector. Coming soon.

Status: Coming soon

PagerDuty is where your team handles incidents and on-call schedules. Once you connect it, the Coder can see which incidents are open and who is on call, so it knows what is on fire before it starts work.

> [!SOON]
> The PagerDuty integration is Coming soon. This page describes how it will work. The integrations open at launch are GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.

## Which assistants use it

| Assistant | Status |
| --- | --- |
| [Coder](/docs/personas/coder) | Available |

The Coder is the only persona available today, and it is the one that uses PagerDuty.

## What assistants can do

PagerDuty connects through the tool's own hosted connector, and it is read only.

| Ability | How it runs |
| --- | --- |
| See open incidents | Reads on its own |
| See who is on call | Reads on its own |
| Acknowledge, resolve, or change an incident | Never run from chat |

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In PagerDuty, open your profile and go to your user settings.
2. Create a user token and copy it.
3. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm.
4. Pick PagerDuty.
5. Paste the token, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

## Permissions

- The assistant sees what the token's owner can see in PagerDuty.
- Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing here changes data. An incident is never acknowledged or resolved from chat; you do that in PagerDuty.
- Delete the token in PagerDuty whenever you want to cut access.

## Good to know

- PagerDuty has more than one region. If your account is in the European one, the connection needs that region's address; the setup screen will tell you when it opens.
- The token acts as you. Think of it like handing a colleague read access to your incident view, and remove it when you no longer need it.
- Pair it with [Datadog](/docs/integrations/datadog): PagerDuty tells the Coder what is wrong, Datadog tells it why.

## Prompts to try

```prompt title="Triage the board"
Coder, tell me which incidents are open and who is on call. Do not acknowledge anything.
```

```prompt title="Find the owner"
Coder, who is on call for [service] right now, and which open incidents mention it? Read only.
```

```prompt title="Prepare an incident summary"
Coder, read the open incident about [topic] and write a short summary I can send to the team. Do not change the incident.
```
